FIRE ELEMENT

Fire element 火 is associated with oolong 乌龙茶, red tea 紅茶 and roasted tea.

Fire is a source of creativity and transformation. When the raw leaves are harvested from the Camellia sinensis tree and exposed to oxygen or to the sun, they gracefully transform as a result of oxidation. Through this process, semi-oxidized leaves can become oolong and fully oxidized leaves can become red tea, carrying the elemental wisdom of  火.
