WAO TEA

Aishiteru Horoku

Sold out

A wonderful vessel, hand made by a friend in Japan, allowing you to roast your tea leaves for your ritual. Traditionally use by our friends in Japan to roast green tea leaves to produce Hojicha, or to roast rice to produce Genmaicha, but this vessel can be used to roast any tea leaves of your preference, and even seeds (like sesame seeds).

How to use :

Simply add the desired amount of tea leaves, or seeds, to the vessel, and place on a source of heat, either charcoal stove or gas stove. Make sure to keep tossing the leaves in the vessel using the handle, allowing the tea to move around for an even roast. It usually take between 5-10 minutes. When done, simply serve the roasted leaves from the handle into your brewing vessel for tea.

*This vessel is available for pre-order and will be shipped in January 2021.
