A beautiful compressed yancha (rock tea) from Wuyi Shan, Fujian, China. 

The leaves were harvested in 2020, heavily oxidized, transformed into a oolong, and compressed into a beautiful brick. Each brick are made of 100g of compressed da hong pao (yancha) leaves. Da Hong Pao 大红袍 is the most ancient of all teas produced in the region of Wuyi Shan. Some of the original bushes, dating back from the Song dynasty, are still present today. Yancha are growing on the cliff of the mountains, in a rocky mineral-rich soil, and carries vibrant high mountain qi. 

Tasting experience : Sweet and Mineral. Complex multi layered floral, fruity and woody flavors and aromas. Sumptuous harmony of refreshing minerals and unctuous sweetness.

Elemental Wisdom : Fire. Activating the Shen, the heart, bringing nourishing comforting warmth around the heart, expansion, and sweetness. May facilitate digestion, and uplift the spirit.

Steeping guide:
Teaware: Yixing pot, Zhong, Gaiwan or Western Style Teapot
Teapot: 250 ml water · 90°C water · 1 tsp tea · 4 minutes infusion
Gong Fu: 100 ml water · 95°C water · 1 piece of the brick
Multiple Infusions: (1) 20 sec · (2) 15 sec · (3) 25 sec
+ 5 sec every additional infusions.
