Sold out

This is the powdered form of our Omotenashi Hōjicha

A nourishing comforting alternative to Matcha, that can be prepared and whisked in the very same way than your Matcha.

Omotenashi Hōjicha is a delicious comforting tea that will remind you of the importance of approaching each moment in life wholeheartedly with sincerity. This special tea was produced by an inspiring tea farmer who has invested his time and energy in the regeneration of his soil, to be able to grow vibrant and naturally organic tea for the past 40 years.

Tasting experience: Roasted sweet caramel-like flavors. Smooth and silky liquor. Generous and comforting aromas of toasted cereals and nuts.

Energy experience (Qi): Yin Fire. Comforting. Hearty.

Brewing guide:

Sift 1-2 chashaku (spoons) of your hojicha powder through a sieve for a creamier mousse and to prevent lumps. Warm your chawan (bowl) with hot water, empty and wipe it dry. Add your sifted powder into the bowl. Add 70ml of water (85°C) onto the tea. Whisk with energy with a chasen (bamboo whisk). Start beneath the surface. As a mousse starts to form, gradually raise your whisking towards the central surface. Every steps should be done mindfully, like a dance. You can add any milk alternative, for a Hojicha latter. Allow yourself time to sit still and simply breath before sipping your hojicha. Enjoy.

Quantity of tea per bag : 50g
