Querencia is a raw « green » Pu'er, produced and harvested in 2008 in a beautiful tea garden of the mountains of Menghai, southern China. Contrary to ripe pu’er, raw pu’er cakes are stored after being compressed, allowing it to age and ferment naturally. The post-fermentation of raw pu’er is caused by micro-organisms present in the leaves, which act like a probiotic and offer many health benefits. In China, Pu’er is considered the « medicinal tea ». It is known to have a powerful effect on clearing the liver and activating "Qi" (living energy). Because of its quality and fermentation, this tea can be stored and aged, and will only improve with time, if stored properly. We suggest to store in an airy room, away from light or any odors.

Brewing guide:

Teaware: Purple clay Yixing pot, Zhong, Gaiwan or small tea pot

Gong Fu: 100 ml water · 95°C water · 2 tsp tea · Multiples infusions; (1st) 15 sec, (2nd) 10 sec, (3rd) 15 sec, and +10 sec every additional infusions.
