This tea pot is fully handmade, with authentic and high grade 紫泥 Zini, a purple-brown clay from Huang Long Shan.

Story : Xu Zhi Peng, the artist behind this beautiful teapot, is a skilled disciple of the highly respected masters 王小龙 Wang Xiaolong and 高丽君 Gao Lijun, who hold immense reverence for Zisha. He is also a fellow junior disciple of Ma Pinyi. Xu is highly proficient in traditional craftsmanship and possesses extensive knowledge in the study of aesthetics. Guided by Ma Pin Yi, he skillfully employs Zisha as a medium to express unparalleled and advanced aesthetic.
The original teapot from which this piece is inspired is a masterpiece that was created by the highly respected historical figure Shi Dabin, during the Ming Dynasty. The work of Shi Dabin serves as historical model in the world of Zisha art, and the Dabin Ruyi Pot is considered to be one of the most exceptional pieces of art ever created in China.
This tea pot is highly versatile and can be used with a wide range of teas.
We are offering this teapot to our community, in collaboration with One Space studio, a collaboration of Zisha artists located on Xishi Road in Dingshu Town, China, the birthplace of Zisha pottery. The pieces created for One Space studio are a celebration of both innovation and tradition, highlighting creativity and traditional roots.
