Sencha is the most popular tea in Japan, representing about 80 percent of the tea production. Because of the high depend of this tea, and because Japanese consummation represent 95% of all the production, most sencha are now produce in Indonesia, Korea and China. We feel incredibly blessed to have access to 100% organic sencha produce in Japan, and even more blessed that the tea farmer producing it is an incredibly inspiring and wonderful human that we had the chance to visit.
For more than 40 years, the family cultivating and producing this tea have invested their time and energy in the regeneration of their soil, to be able to grow 100% clean vibrant naturally organic green tea. The tea garden is completely secluded, in the middle of the forest, high in the mountains of Yame. The soil covering the tea gardens is incredibly rich, pure, packed of nutrients, minerals and vitamins. The tea trees in this garden are beyond healthy and thriving.
Made from Yabukita and Sae-Midori cultivars.
