This tea pot is fully handmade, with authentic and high grade 紫泥 Zini Paragenesis, a purple-brown clay from Yixing, China.
Artist : 沈儒涛 Shen Ru Tao

Story : This tea pot was created by Shen Rutao, a disciple of Ma Pinyi, who is highly recognized for its mastering of traditional zisha techniques. Shen Rutao is a dedicated student of the art of zisha, and has already attained a deep understanding of the craft due to the tutelage of his teacher, Ma Pinyi. The design of this teapot is inspired by the Weng-shaped teapots of the Qing Dynasty. The straight spout promises a smooth and powerful pour. The shoulders and lid are very steady and strong, and the whole body is tall and straight like a warrior, plumped like a small apple. It is one of the most practical and simple-looking piece for brewing tea without a doubt. If you look the teapot closely, you can see the various minerals of the clay. It’s important to note that this is an original ore, which makes this piece even more valuable.
This tea pot is highly versatile and can be used with a wide range of teas. It is particularly recommended to infuse pu'er tea.
We are offering this teapot to our community, in collaboration with One Space studio, a collaboration of Zisha artists located on Xishi Road in Dingshu Town, China, the birthplace of Zisha pottery. The pieces created for One Space studio are a celebration of both innovation and tradition, highlighting creativity and traditional roots.
